Description

A versatile sports jacket emulating classic styles from the 1950s, built in Horween’s stunning Aspen Horsehide.

Design: We built a versatile halfbelt sports jacket on the bones of Vanson’s Enfield. Straight zip front. Two leather-lined hand pockets, angled chest zip pocket. One internal slash pocket. Halfbelt on the back with side adjusters. Bi-swing action back. Zip-closure cuff with slanted stitching detail.

Leather: Approx 1-1.2mm / 2.5-3oz vegetable-tanned horsehide. Mill dyed with a lighter underlayer. Full aniline finish, this hide has a excellent grain, lustrous depth of color, and is supple with a moderate amount of firmness. It will age beautifully. Note that there may be light marks from the tanning or manufacturing process. These are to be expected and are part of the natural beauty of vegetable tanned leathers.

Lining: Blue Stripe Sevenberry 5.37oz Cotton in the body, Vanson standard black rayon in the sleeves.

Hardware: Heavy duty brass zips and buckles.

Fit: A generously-cut jacket. For standard fit, take one size down from your usual. Del is 5’9″ 175 pounds with just over a 40″ chest. He wears a standard US size 40 in most jackets. He wears a size 38 in the Regent. If you want room for heavy layers, take your standard size. The size chart provided below is for reference. Some variation from the stated measurements is expected given the nature of handmaking a garment from robust materials.
