Rainbow Country A2 FLIGHT Jacket in Dark Seal Brown Shinki Hikaku Horsehide [2025 Pre-Order]

Description

An masterfully constructed classic flight jacket from Rainbow Country’s California Mfg label.

Design: Based on the late 1941 Roughwear Contract W535AC-23380. Rainbow Country extensively studied vintage A2 models in this contract to reproduce relevant details down to the shape of the collar and pockets, thread colors, etc.

Leather: 1.3mm / 3.25oz vegetable tanned horsehide. Dark purple base with dark seal brown aniline finish applied on top. It has a ton of texture and richness of color right out of the box. Will develop beautifully as the dark brown dye wears away to create more depth.

Lining: Light brown cotton through body and sleeves.

Hardware: Branded Talon zip and hidden snaps. Custom dark brown knits.

Fit: A slim, comfortable jacket. Typical recommendation is to take your standard size for a trim fit or size up for thicker shirts and layers. Please refer to the size chart provided by Rainbow Country below. I’ll update with measurements once I have jackets in hand.  *Some variation from the stated measurements is expected given the nature of handmaking a garment from robust materials.*
