A refined racer jacket with unique details from Cherubim Leathers.

Cherubim is a one man operation based in the USA. He’s converting long term enthusiasm and accumulated knowledge into well-crafted leather jackets with his own spin on established styles.

Design: A sleek, minimal racer style. Stand collar with snap closure at front. Adjustment buckles at hem. There are two zipped chest pockets, slash handwarmer pockets, one internal vertical pocket. Zip-closure cuffs. This jacket has a small front drop which helps the cropped length work with a variety of trouser rises.

Leather: Approx 1.2mm 3oz combination chrome & veg tanned horse front quarters. Aniline dyed on the surface, with a lighter brown “tea core.” Infused with a special blend of fats and oils. Chromexcel horsehide is known for excellent grain development, lustrous depth, and smooth texture. It will age beautifully and show the lighter brown core in high wear areas. Note that there may be light marks from the tanning or manufacturing process. These are to be expected and are part of the natural beauty of combination tanned leathers.

Lining: Checked Sevenberry Cotton in the body, black cotton sateen in the sleeves.

Hardware: High end YKK metal zips, chrome adjustment buckles and snap.

Fit: A trim, streamlined jacket. For standard fit, take your usual size. Del is 5’9″ 175 pounds with just over a 40″ chest. He wears a standard US size 40 in most jackets. He wears a size 40 in the Cherubim Racer with a tee or button down. If you’re between sizes or want room for layers, size up. The size chart provided below is for reference. Some variation from the stated measurements is expected given the nature of handmaking a garment from robust materials.
