In 2018, I decided to buy a pair of boots that would last longer than a year or two. I began researching boot qualities and makers, spending time on the goodyearwelt Reddit, and finally bought a few pair that could really go the distance. Job done, right?

I had only just begun scratching the surface of my newly developing sense of personal style. Over the following years I have worked through different categories of robust clothing. I really dig learning about denim, canvas, boots, leather goods, and of course, leather jackets.
I’ve always had a thing for statement pieces. And great leather jackets are the ultimate statement piece. Learning about jackets had an allure that was impossible for me to resist. Years later, I’ve now owned (and sold or traded) many many leather jackets. While I’m not necessarily an expert, I do love to share what I’ve learned along the way.
