Vanson’s minimalist cafe racer meets Horween’s Chromexcel Horsehide in this special collaboration.

Design: Vanson’s Comet is as versatile as it is simple. There are two zipped chest pockets and an internal open-top pocket. We shortened the sleeves slightly from standard length for easier casual wear. Zip-closure cuffs. Stand collar with snap closure at front. Small windflap behind the main zip.

Leather: Approx 1.2mm – 1.4mm / 3oz – 3.5oz combination chrome & veg tanned horse front quarters. Aniline dyed on the surface, with a lighter brown “tea core.” Infused with a special blend of fats and oils. This hide is known for excellent grain development, lustrous depth, and smooth texture. It will age beautifully and show the lighter brown core in high wear areas. Note that there may be light marks from the tanning or manufacturing process. These are to be expected and are part of the natural beauty of combination tanned leathers.

Lining: Black, Red, and Gray Stripe Sevenberry 5.37oz Cotton in the body, Vanson standard black rayon in the sleeves.

Hardware: Heavy duty chrome zips and collar snap.

Fit: A trim, comfortable jacket. For standard fit, take your usual size. Del is 5’9″ 175 pounds with just over a 40″ chest. He wears a standard US size 40 in most jackets. He wears a size 40 in the Comet. If you want room for heavy layers, size up. The size chart provided below is for reference. Some variation from the stated measurements is expected given the nature of handmaking a garment from robust materials.
