Rainbow Country SPEEDSTER Racer Jacket in Black Teacore Shinki Hikaku Horsehide [2025 Pre-Order]

Description

An incredible cafe racer style jacket from Rainbow Country’s California Mfg label.

Design: Based on 1950’s stand-collar racing jacket. Full action back for mobility with half belt.. Side adjustment buckles at hem. Two zipped chest pockets, one interior slash pocket. Band collar with snap.

Leather: 1.3mm / 3.25oz vegetable tanned horsehide. Brown base with black water-based pigment lacquer finish. It has an oily, glossy sheen and beautiful character right out of the box. Will develop beautifully as the black lacquer slowly wears away to reveal the brown core.

Lining: Smooth custom cotton-rayon blend through body and sleeves.

Hardware: Branded Talon zips for sleeve. Ball and chain Talon for the chest.

Fit: A slim, comfortable jacket. Typically take your standard size. Del is 5’9″ 175 pounds with just over a 40″ chest. He wears a standard US size 40 in most jackets. He wears a size 40 in the Speedster. If you want room for heavy layers, size up.

I’ve included two size charts below. The first provides measurements according to Rainbow Country. The second chart provides measurements based directly from a size 40 in hand using the Iron Heart method, and extrapolating the other numbers from there. I’ll update the charts once I have jackets in hand.  *Some variation from the stated measurements is expected given the nature of handmaking a garment from robust materials.*
